My sea dart

So I made this last night.... total pain in the ass, LOL.... I need to put my power pack into it (Microjet V3, 1600 mah 3S battery, 20A ESC, Dx6i RX) normally I paint planes and make them pretty but I want to maiden this plane first because I am skeptical of its preformance on Air, Land and Sea (hahaha) anyways, here are some build pictures.

No need to be sceptical, build it to plan / not over heavy and ensure its ballanced atleast on or in front of the recommended CG and it will fly very well . . . (This plane does seem to be CG critical, otherwise it tends have weird tendancies in my experience)

I have over 50 flights on mine, 90% of them on/off water . . . I enjoy flying it and it has ensured I have continued flying on a couple of occasions at various water meets.

When I set this on concrete it tips to the right. I probably need to adjust the plank thingy under the plane so the plane is centered right? Also, I have ensured the front portion is water tight which I assume is what needs to be done.

I have read something about up trip for the elevon setup. What was it like 8mms? Where is this measured?

I posted some pics previously that showed the 'reflex' from the rear view . . . check them out . . . (Its only a guide and trim changes anyway when you use different cells)

Marcel

when I first seen your design and vid`s, the Seadart went to the "to do list"
You did a very nice job and thanks for sharing the plans.
My first thoughts were, that the prop in slot design is a bit noisy and maybe I will get some problems, when I take the plane to the small lake around here.
So the plans went to the "briefcase" `till last week............................and I played around with some 3mm Depron...................

Do you have any idea, what can be seen on the following photos?...........

Nice question
I will try the fit of the EDF, then take a closer look, how to get the CG...........
Maybe I make a hatch in front of the inlets.

I will try an Alfa 60/25 Fan with a Mega 16/7/4 motor, on a 3 cell 1350mAh 20C, ECS should be 25-30A. I think I can get up to 500g thrust.
I don`t know, if it will work on the Seadart, but I want to try it out.

Second that. I probably have a good 30 flights on mine. Watch the rates and CG on your maiden. mine is pretty heavy but is a great flier. I'm thinking of upgrading the motor.

I'll second that power setup. The Microjet V3 may not be enough for this. Go with the standard 2212-6 2200kv motor, 30A ESC and APC 6X4E prop. RCTimer, RC Hot Deals, Grayson all have them.

don't see your EDF design working..splitting up the exhaust from the fan is going to rob all of it's power..
