I am glad to see these good reports in re folks buying from BH. I hope they continue to come in and that eventually BH will have nothing but good reports like these and lots of satisfied customers.

I will have to add one of these to my fleet someday. Nice review! Nice video, especially the HD version! I wish I hadn't heard so many bad things about Banana Hobby or I probably would have already ordered one. I had the order all punched in and was ready to punch in my card number on Black Friday and then didn't pull the trigger. Now I kind of wish I had completed the order. I'm glad to hear all of you guys have had positive experiences but there are still frequent comments of unanswered phone calls.

Jon, do you know if Banana Hobby has similar sales at other times of the year or do I have to wait until the next Black Friday sale?

Maybe by then we'll have heard enough positive feedback that I won't worry about placing an order with them.

I love my J-Power A-7. I'm unhappy Hobby Lobby stopped carrying them.

I couldn't tell you .... I have not purchased from BH yet (this review model was provided by the manufacturer, not the distributor) and I do not routinely monitor their site, so I am not really familiar with the frequency of their sales. Perhaps other folks can comment?

Unfortunitly the state of California has the record from the Better Business B .
All you have to do is check on the 200 plus complaints filed by fellow RC flyers .
I am sure the plane can be good(if your shipped without damage ect ) and the manufactures of these plane and others distributed by BH have been contacted by variuos rc guys asking for a new distributor in the USA but the answer was no .
Pete seems like a good guy on line but all I read is bad reports on cusomer servace .
If it was just a flooke why so many bad reviews on rcu in the -e-flight forum ?

Great review as always Jon!

One thing though--why isn't this review located within the foamy EDF section? I realize it is a warbird, but just seems more logical to be over in the EDFs with his "kin"

I agree Sammy. I am not sure why/how it ended up in war birds and I hadn't noticed it until you just said it. Maybe we can get it moved?

I've got a pair of HXT 3900kv inrunners sitting in SF fans with cut down 4 blade HET rotors and two Hobbywing Platinum 40amp esc's just dying for a new plane. Each puts out approx 370watts on 3s, so combined these would be a great power plant for this jet. Just don't need another plane sitting in the box for a few months. Grrr, its soo nice of a kit though..might have to pull the trigger.

Wonder if using a single 4s will be too much. I'd run one 4s 4000 to power both motors. The voltage drop at WOT should be near 12v or so versus 10+V with a 3s and I don't think this would be too powerfull for this plane. Thoughts?

Due to the mistake BH sent me out a V2 kit right away and 7 months later I am still flying her. The only additions I made were Nav/Strobe Lights, I toned the shiny paint down with fine sandpaper, krylon camo paint, and matte clear and put high torque GWS mid sized retracts versus micro retracts in the wheel wells. . I detailed out the cockpit, and made my own bombs as they were none offered at the time. This is a great little jet that will give you hours of enjoyment if you take care of it and try to not to fly it like an F-22, all that is missing is little terrorists hiding in caves for me to blow up.

FYI.....this thread and the review by BARNESJONR is about the newer 50" wingspan EPO A-10 by J-power. Not the Starmax 42"

I pre-ordered an F-16 in August. Now the web-site says its sold out. Have made numerous attempts to contact Banana hobby thru phone, on-line chat and e-mail with no results. Now I am disputing the charge thru the credit card co. Avoid them, neat stuff. no customer service.
