Hobby King 40mmx5mm folding spinners @ ~450 Watts?

Has anybody pushed there HK spinners to 450 Watts or beyond?

I have a 40mm x 4mm shaft at 270 watts and im very comfortable with that but what about a 40mm x 5mm shaft 450 Watts input? That particular product is a bit short on for detail in the reviews.

Im going to use 15x10" aeronaut blades @ ~ 5,500 rpm but the $50 for the spinner makes me cringe a bit when HK has spinners at 1/10 of the price.

They have the obvious draw back of 2mm bolts that would have to be replaced leaving less material in the arms.

Can't hurt to ask right?

I used my 40/5mm spinner at 500 watts without *spinner issues*. The problem I ran into was that I drilled the hole too large on the prop and eventually tossed a blade, luckily while airborn. I have now down-graded to Graupner 9x5 blades and everything is in harmony at 300 watts, but the spinner is great and begs for more!

What about an MPJet spinner?

The aeronaut ones are good although a little pricey. There collets have a 4-way cut in them which grips the shaft better than a single slot.

Aeronaut collets have a single slot? Or the MPJet does?

I should just man up and buy the aeronaut. The cost of any damage loosing a prop will do wont be less that the price difference.

The MP looks nice but I dont get along with e-clips
