Mini/Micro 15" F22 Pusher Profile

We'll in my 3 planes, 1 power system quest, i came across the 18.8" WS F22 thread, I had to make one but didn't want to buy another motor and ESC, so i decided to incorporate it into my quest. I scaled it down to 15" and done some number crunching and it came out quite nice. I am making it out of 5mm EPP because it's so durable, but mainly because that's the only thing i have at the moment.

Motor: 4000kv AP05 5.4g BL motor Link to go here
Prop: 3050? Link to go here
ESC: Turnigy Plush 6A OR XP-7A Link for Turnigy to go here
Servos: Mystery SD-3.7 (weight 5g AUW) will lighten Link to go here
Receiver: Spektrum AR6110e Link to go here

I have most of the bits cut apart from the bottom plate of the air ducts as the plans didn't seem to match with all of the notches? So i only used the plans for shapes and came up with my own joining notches, but still guided by the shape of the plans. I'm using hot glue as it is the best type of glue for epp i have found.

Update 10 December 09: I have now installed the elevon servo's. I made a bit of a school-boy error with the first one and cut a hole for it to go where it would foul the prop. Once i extended it backwards and put a bit of EPP in the front of the hole to patch it back up. I have set my DX6i to do elevon mixing and also added a mix which sorts out the known issues the DX6i uses when elevon mixing is on. Next job - motor mount and waiting for the receiver to come

I have already broken the nose gliding it to find the CG, but nothing a bit of hot glue didn't fix!

Very cool. Your idea has inspired me. I am making my own plans, and getting general shape from my Yard Bird 30" F-22. Hopefully it will fly better than your avion! Just joking!

Why so heavy? COuld't you get below 40g? Actually 70 is more reachable. I don't know how many party you are using though.

Its mainly because those are the numbers i need to get my wing loading. I am making it out of 5mm EPP so it will be durable. Also, the heavier it is, the more wind capable it is. I am using a 800mah 2 cell so things should be interesting.

No, it's just going to have loads of flight time (fingers crossed). I am currently having trouble with my elevon mixing. When that is sorted, i'll sort out the motor and mount, install that with the ESC, then its flight time!
