Usually from the same place you get the XENO.

Hiya mate

Do you still need the flat canopy for your Xeno?

I have one and will never use it, so your welcome to it if you want, just PM me your address and you can have it for free, so long as the postage doesnt kill me.

I havent flown my Xeno in ages, since my first efforts and all the hassles with launching it, as I'm not brave enough to throw it with the power on, but I use the standard tuning power set and mine goes totally vertical, no problem, and I fly it on a 1000mAh 3S, but have an extra 25g lead in the nose to balance it.

For those asking about the lights, I only put a switch on them as it more a "Lets try this" kind of idea, and in the dark, they do light up really well, even when flying away from me you can see them, but the red is not as bright as the green...

I going to try my Xeno again I think, at a local park that has shallow hills, so I can at least throw it, no power, and I can get the power on before it hits the ground.

I find that a huge problem, in throwing it with power off, then getting onto the throttle before its already landed 20ft away

Then you have to pick a HK motor which is suitable for the "power-pod".

Hey, that's part of the fun! :-) I've launched mine into the ground several times. You just have to be really quick applying throttle, it's mostly practice.

Also, I programmed a mix to a switch to give a little bit of up elevator. So when I toss it, it doesn't nose down. Right after I apply power, I flip the switch to neutralize the ailerons and off I go.

Because
a) the motor would not survive long on 4s and 5x5" prop,
b) because a bigger prop is more efficient and
c) the XENO is not designed for high speed.

Yesterday I tried the motor with 9x6 folding prop (again the link: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=19036) very very well!

I did not make any measure on it, but I can say:
- it seems to permorme as well as the himax motor for tuning motorization: the xeno climbs up vertically
- it does not nearly heat up at all

The motor is very easy to adapt to the xeno (as Juergen says, it is necessary to push the shaft from one side to the other but it's an easy job) and has a great price!

I don't need new wings. But "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse"

Would you like to have the cheapest Xeno? I bought the wings for about 19 euro. 1300 kv outrunner from Hobbyking - 6.5USD. Servos - 2x3USD. And some small parts.

Because the flight controls are rather big and bigger servos usually consume less current and have more robust gears.

Hi guys,

For those using the tuning power set up, how are these systems holding up over time? Are the C F drive shafts lasting along time?

Thanks, Mickydee
