Yea..that looks ok....I saw these trainer wheels in the US..worked well while i was learning, then cut them down 'till they just cleared the landing gear, now I got rid of them..just rubber bands under the motor mount to a plastic rod set in the bottom holds them on..saved my gear once in a nasty crash

Good old pool noodle!!

My only concern with the ones I posted above is they may be a bit flimsy for the weight of the copter. If so.. I will bite the bullet and get one from the UK.

I have now hot glued a 3 inch piece of noodle to the end of each landing strut..softens the blow & provides stability in long grass

Nah mate, I was using RL but through a hardwired module and the normal servo wires onboard the plane. Now I use my DX8 through the trainer port and its flawless. I could never get my head around the er9x so I sold it off.

New Skywalker coming with low mounted elevator and carbon fiber boom.
Could be a definate improvement on the existing frame.

I like er9x but just spent a few nights trying to get a mix right for mode switching for ardu pilot. I got there eventually but it took quite an effort. Was probably more me than the er9x though...right Narcas?
