Here ya go!!

All you need to do is apply 5V to the USB plug. You can either provide it out of your RX and leave it powered. Wobby does it this way. HOWEVER, it is easier to apply it to get ot working, and then take it out. It will continue live video until you power the camera down.

See this...

Live video out from GoPro HD Hero (1 min 25 sec)

Why not take your GoPro and post the HD video for us later

Got mine about 1 hour ago, the postman dumped it on the doorstep while I was out of the house. The packaging was all squashed and when I opened it the camera was in about 20 pieces!!!

Just kidding. It's A1 and on charge. Thanks mate. lol

Glad you got it BUT... it was sent registered post, so you should have signed for it. I pay freakin extra for the service, and for them to leave it on the doorstep is just friggin wrong!!!

AND

I can go ALL NIGHT LONG BABY.... well... at least in my dreams anyway!!

Thanks Mongrel, got mine today too. Now if only my memory card would turn up! Encouraging news about the live video. How are people powering it though? Do you butcher a usb cable and attach it to a servo lead, then plug it into your receiver? Not sure I'd know where to start there...

Yep - Strip the cables out of the USB and connect a servo plug and whack into your RX.

I will try to get a tutorial online shortly - but other priorities right now.

My GoPro Showed up today, thanks, Mongrel.

Geez, it's even smaller than I though it'd be! It'll be easy to find a spot for that on the tri-copter.

My next big hurdle will be to find a decent video editing software that's easier to ue than MS MovieMaker. I have been looking at reviews, and it seems that Adobe is not popular, and the Corel products are passable, but there does not seem to be any particularly outstanding package out there........ anyone had any good experiences / recommendations?

Cheers

Roger.

I'm using Pinacle studio HD 14, works ok, chews GoPro files real easy. Very easy to use compared to the others I've seen. Can be a bit slow to render but it will depend on your machine.

Great. PLease do post a tutorial, I'd hate to put the wrong wires in the wrong place and blow it up! I'm looking forward to it!
