I had one...Wasn't much good for long range..Too many amps to keep it in the air....

You flying this sat morning?

Not really, I did a Gyro reset after this flight but the settings were those I had been using for more than a dozen flights. It seems to me that for some reason the system sometimes for some reason just goes haywire. Probably part of the reason I lost my Skywalker.

I had it set to FAF which according to the documentation should maintain altitude at around 100 meters. On my last fatefull flight on the beach I lost control at about 40 meters altitude when in FAF mode dropped into RTL mode which was set in the RX failsafe. The plane should have maitained it altitude and looped back around and tried to come back to the launch point. What my plane actually did was to bank right and nose dive straight into the water. Thus the reason for me considering another system as I have some hesitation trusting this system again especially when it is in the higher cost range for navigational systems.

I dont know how you guys stay so close to launch point?

I'm just preparing for my second FPV ship after I lost the first one.

I know most suggest just staying close and within LOS for the first few flights but after my first plane I've decided thats can be difficult. If the Skywalker cruises at 50 - 60 km/h thats close to 1km/minute. Apparently they'll cruise at 8 - 9 amp so a 5000mha batteries is going to give about 45 minutes of flight.

It'll be 500m away on 30 seconds. I would think whilst it might still be visible it might be unflyable LOS. 30 seconds isn't long, I'd bearly pulled my goggles down in that time.

Same as flying a normal plane. Know the landmarks. Study your flying area on google earth

As for pulling the goggles down, take off, then fly a circuit, as you begin a leg, line up with a landmark as you go overhead, then go for the goggles. You will have the landmark to get your bearings, and off you go.

Oh, and use an OSD

Hey PMR, you still flying from the ridge?

I just maidened my new AXN Floater, anybody FPVing this plane. Very small compartment so would need some micro gear. Plane flies stock for 20 minutes on a 2200 MAH battery which is awesome.
Only got one because the guys from Xjet fly them and they looked really great.
