Doug,
What is the KV rating on those motors , and what prop size are you using ?
I've just built a quad and a tri, both are using Turnigy 890 KV motors and 10 x 6 props
The quad is 650mm. motor to motor and probably needs to go on a diet ?
Going to try some 11 x 4 SF props to see if it helps.

I call them the evil twins, as the tricopter flies sorta ok, and the quad wants to attack me. More fine tuning required I think !!

Motors are 1100kv running on 3s. 10x6 props. Cant remember the diameter, i just made it up on solid edge 2d. I also have a tricopter. It weighs 5kg and is made of aluminium. I crashed it last weekend when the battery died 40ft up. made a pretty mess . I personally like tricopters better but the quad seems to fly ok and hopefully tomorrow will give me some good weather to thrash its balls off.

Regards

Doug

5KG!!! What a pig. I thought mine was heavy.
My tri weighs 1.6 kg. RTF, the only weight saving factor would be the carbon fibre booms (14mm. HobbyKing CF tube)

I can vouch for carbon fibre. My tricopters been down hard more times than Linda Lovelace, and all it's broken has been props, so far that is.
The quad is a Bunnings special.
Both run KK black boards.
One genuine, one chinese $30 copy.

I have just got my RCExplore Tri up using the MultiWii Paris board. I noticed the gyro is working on the motors but not the yaw servo. I can move it side to side and it is doing nothing. Works for yaw control from the remove but not when moved by hand. Any suggestions?
I have bridged the board and am running without UBEC.
I am running the standard code supplied by Quinton from Multiwii.
Any advise appreciated.
tks

I just ordered a set.
I hope they are an improvement over the FS Aviator edition.
Had 2 sets of those. Both were rubbish.
Fingers crossed.
Currently using EVG920/skimask. Love them
and
Headplay/skimask.
Love em too but fiddly.
I will review them as soon as I get a chance.

I await a your review of these Frank.
Saw the "new" model was available, but not convinced enough to hand over the $$$ until I'd heard an unbiased review.

Oh, don't expect anything to be unbiased from me! I was so disappointed with my last Shark attack (cost me $550 for them!!!!) that these will have to be the ducks guts to get a good review from me.
