Hey lads,

Thought id put this up here incase any of you fellow FPV nutts were chasing a new toy for Xmas.

A good friend is selling a new in box "Black" X8 kit from Bev with a suitable motor and 3-blade folder for 300.
He's in the Brissy area but could post if required.

If interested just drop me a PM for details.

Chris.

A couple of new pics

Managed a quick session close to home the other day. Took a few still images off the video again. Enjoy!

Yipee !! ... it flies
DIY fpv quad. Looked at all the frames on the market that I could find, and none of them combined all the features I wanted ... and at a realistic price.
Raided the local industrial supplies place and they had offcuts of 3mm lexan sheet (clear) and a plastic board skinned with aluminium each side (used by signwriters). Throw in some 19mm square aluminium tube, and I walked out with enough bits to build several frames for $30.
Attack with angle grinder, hole saw, dremel etc .... punched out 4 frame kits in a couple of hours.
This one is the first flying, and its rock solid. Heavy, but flies much higher gains that I have ever flown with before.
Really happy with the vibration isolate mount for the gopro. Its just a stack of large rubber gromments, with the top and bottom one through the camera plate and through thenframe plate. A nylon standoff runs through the stack with a washer and a screw top and bottom. Really simple.
Flies with an OP CC3D board.

Nice Kaz. Are the scratches(?) on the prop in the third pic for balancing?

Yes, Balance of some of the propellers are pretty awful, so the masking tape. The ones that are close need only a light sanding on the heavy blade. They are gemfan props in an 11x4.7, and are probably marginal considering the weight of the quad. Not pretty when they break in flight.
