Get the nose to taper down a bit.
Make narrower ailerons.
Get rid of the couter balance tabs too. They add extra leading edges which creates more drag.
Thank you!

I will take in to consideration what you have suggested!

P.S. Working on a new wing, will post pics soon!

Gulliows Micro Stuka JU-87

Here's my addition to this thread.

A Gulliows Micro free flight conversion using a AR6400.

Plane is covered in doped tissue, awaiting a maiden.
She weighs in at 52 grams, so a little heavy.

Has R/E/T/A - 4 channel control. Power from a PZ UM Sukoi motor, the ailerons are done with two separate UM servos from the Corsair.

If she flys well, Ill commission her with some decals as per my first post in the build log: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1680022

I made a 14" snowball with similar parts. I put a bowed carbon fibre rod in front to protect the prop, and it is invinceable!
You can see it at: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...930241&page=89 post 1332.

I've been messing around with micros for a while using the guts from 4 sites, mustangs and an old su-26. I recently bought an airbrush and came up with a couple I thought worth posting. The edge is one I designed myself, it has an 18" span and weighs 1.17 oz without the battery. It does about anything you want other than hover. The other is a rubber powered $5 plane from Estes I converted to electric. It flys great, 15 minute flights on a 150 mah battery. I know mine doesn't compare to most I've seen on this thread but you have to start somewhere.

Yes thats correct, I made bigger wings and tail section for it out of 2mm depron, the ones in the kit are fairly small. I was going to use a 250mah but the 150 squeezes into the fuse. nicely and flys well at just a 1/3 throttle.

Nice paintwork, arauser.

How do you mask it, especially where you're painting two colours side by side like on the Edge? Whenever I've tried to do things like that, the masking tape pulls bits of the paint off. I've never tried an airbrush though, only rattle cans.

Thanks Andy,
I work for a printing company and I use water based inks which is what I use in my air brush. It has a pretty good adhesion to the foam but I still have spots that sometime pick off. I have to dab alittle back on with a Q- tip. I use a low tack mylar for most of stenciling. A friend told me he has good luck sticking the masking tape to his jeans a couple of times before applying it so it will lose some of its tack.
