Did you ever consider writing "AR6400 for Dumbies"?

+1! That's a sticky thread waiting to happen.

I just had smoke pour out of the bottom of my board. Looks like I need a new mosfet for the elevator servo. Anybody here have extras or should I place an order with digi-key?

AMX? Javelin?

UNGN, I've just got to ask...the little car that does a wheelie as part of your avatar...it's pretty small and looks like either an American Motors AMX or Javelin. Am I anywhere close?

You are right.

Its one of the 52 Hurst Super Stock AMX's. We owned it for about 15 years and sold it about 8 years ago. It was probably one of the easiest cars to wheelie ever built in a factory. Rev it to 5K, dump the clutch and floor it and both front tires come about a foot off the ground. 28X10.5l slicks and factory 4.44 gears helped.

I have some pictures on my AMC page

numanair,

PM Chimchim. He may have the proper FET's on hand and get them to you quicker/cheaper.

Since I also need a nano jst plug I might put in a digi-key order if the crimp pieces can be used without a crimp tool. Anyone have experience with these? Thanks.

Soldering is not ideal, because the solder wicks down the stranded wire and causes a "stress riser" where it stops. Crimping is best, but without the tool not too reliable. So if you solder, put a dab of something on it to be a strain relief.

The little charge plugs on the control units of many little helicopters is the same as these batteries, and you can dig the socket out of the helicopter to make a battery connector. I just made three of them. Sorry, my little helicopters, but they signed an organ donor card...

Nice paint job, do you notice a big flight performance difference between the brushed and brushless?

oh yeah, alot more power, and smoother throttle response,

and yeah it's a good idea to beef up the wings a bit

I did the Beast guts into a Polecat conversion and it is like comparing cheese to Saturday. I have been pulling full throttle pylon turns without beefing the wing with no problems. A 3000kv Stryker motor may be different.
