Brent,

I hope not exactly that gear as 2s is too much for that ESC.

I have seen devices on Hong Kong suppliers pages for a device you carry that tells you if you are too far away from your camera. Just recently saw it on TV, used to warn you that you are leaving your keys somewhere.

You are correct, I have nice 3 and 6 amp 2S ESCs ready to go. I like this receiver and servos same as in the new HK UM Mig 15

Zeke, I can't get over how light the Monocoupe is...thanks for sharing how you worked with the balsa...every time I try to laminate balsa (or depron) the balsa/depron sands away and the glue doesn't! I'll try the thin CA...do you think 3M 77 spray adhesive would work this way?
dbacon...sorry if I confused the issue. The Waco in the video is depron (mostly 2mm), is bigger and a lot heavier than the Monocoupe.
The Waco will actually fly slower than the video shows. For the maiden, I kept the speed up to where I was pretty sure it wasn't going to stall. I haven't stalled it on purpose (or by dumb thumbing) yet as I kind of like having a few mistakes of altitude when I stall a plane and the gym doesn't give slow flyers the altitude for many errors.
The plane is programmed for spoilerons and they help the slow speed stability.
Keep those AR6400 micros coming!

I see that it was me doing the confusing, following both the Monocoupe and the Waco, two planes so beautiful that bring tears to the eyes, and I guess I blurred the distinction between the two. My bad. Man, they are both beautiful...

After building paper models for a few years, i have adopted the method they use..

heres the template i designed for the YKS

Glue the long strip into a circle .. then glue the crescent shaped pieces 2 ends together .. then glue two rings together .. i will try to take a few photos of the process and post..
