The B-29 is a very solid flyer but the build may not be for everyone... I build and fly rubber powered airplanes in the gym during winter as well.

One of the better know rubber planes is called the Stringless Kite. I Doubled it up in size and added the electronics, makes a neat, smooth flyer. It is 2 or 3 years old now and still going!

I have done other rubber band conversions and these electronics work great in them.

I switched to an ar6400 brick and mustang motor. She weighs 34g without the battery now.

With the larger motor up front and the gear swept forward, she is much happier.

I managed to catch a few seconds of video before my phone died. Sorry for the low quality, it was my first time flying and filming at the same time.

Vintage inspired AR6400 airplane. (0 min 31 sec)

Bumble Bee 1

Been working on this for a few weeks, finally started putting things together tonight. 9'' span version of Bob Starr's Bumble Bee 1, works out to about 1/8 scale! Should have the gear installed tomorrow. If it flies, I'll paint it up proper.

Just bought one of these old Sig kits off ebay. I had the same idea about converting it from rubberband power to an ar6400. I was very skeptical of my outcome until I saw your photos of your mister mulligan. thanks for the inspiration. hope to complete mine over the winter and post a few photos of my own.
