That micro Capricorn is really charming! Has the 'feel' of a Star Wars fighter. Something like an A-wing and a Jedi Fighter combined! Flies beautifully, too!

Thanks for sharing this with us!

I built this over a year ago from plans I found on the net for a balsa "stick" plane . I think the plans are very old and they are for a 24" wingspan version. I just scaled them down and adapted it for foam construction. Since they are not my plans I dont know if its legit to post them here but if you send me a PM I will email them to you. I added a little more to the chord of the wing for a little more wing area. It probably would fly even better if I stuck to the plans.

I would love to see someone build a brushless version of this. I thought of doing it to mine but its not bad they way it is and a 10g brushless motor would throw the balance way off on the existing one. Since its so easy to build I'm thinking a starting another and going brushless.

I aso built a 24" version of it with a brushless. There is a pic of it here in post #592:

This is a discussion about Radical RC's Micro Stick kit which I am building now.

The Dead Simple Wing lives up to its name!
It is in fact extremely simple to build and very easy to fly.
The construction is nothing to talk about and i imagine that it could be customized
in various ways or used as a platform for other builds. It is dead simple.
In flight it is just as simple and flawless. Once in the air, when put on a trajectory, it flies like on rails.
Turns are clean and can be large and gentle or very tight. There's no sign of any bad tendencies.
The control surfaces responses are quick and precise around the center, even with a lot of travel.
Roll rate is satisfying, about 1,5 roll per sec..
Max flying speed seems about the same as with U.M. Sukhoi, but the wing accepts to fly pretty slow to.

Finally got the 3 amp ESC from hobby king to replace on board one with LVC problems. I threw this together for my father to fly.

My Favorite Plane!

Favorite micro plane up to date! Very 3d capable, and a blast to fly with a 160mah cell. The all up weight is 30g w/ battery.

I think it flies good enough with only elevator and rudder, but will be probably better with ailerons.

Now there's a man after my own heart!
I'm surprised the servos can handle that one.
Did you see my B-10?

Thanks, believe it or not she hasn't had a single mishap.

Though it's not an AR guided ship, keep an eye on the scratch built foamies model for my next weird.
(it'll have three wings and three elevators)
