Turns out there aren't any screws you just need to prise it open with a sharp knife and once you've it a bit off it comes off easy.

So this is what you get for your £9.99 + shipping

This is both sides of the pcb

I only have a sata 2.5 hard disk so am gonna have to get an ide one somewhere before testing recording.

It does need 5v 2 amp power.

that work just fine

Thanks Ian, thats exactly what I need.

Noticed that too, shipping is more than the item itself, but they have 10 of them on ebay for $55, free shipping. If anyone else is interested I can get that and redistribute them in the US for cheaper.

So I just tried putting it back into the casing and there isn't really any point taking a pic as you can't see the blue cables when it's in the casing.

But I just push the board back into the case. It's much easier to get it in if you close the lcd screen first.

So today my 8MP Aiptek MVPR 5800 came in. Turns out I was only charged 59.99. Not sure what I was talking about before with $87.98.

SWEET! It was $59.99 from the Aiptek site. Here are the contents from left to right :

[IMG][/IMG]

* ear phones
* power-in adaptor
* wrist/carry strap
* remote control
* AC power adaptor
* 3.7v 850mAh battery
* RC cables
* auxillary battery charger

It also came with an Instant Theater docking station - clock - radio - charger.

Still no news on HK600GT power train --- some other ground-station items - etc. Oh, I did get my Polaroid tripod yesterday but that's not exciting at all - LOL.
Are ya happy with the quality of the recorded videos?

It really is a very good recorder for the money imo, just don't knock itg off your desk lol

Nope I havn't tried taking the lcd apart yet. Where there some of the blue wires broken or disconnected?

I'm sure it's not the other thing as it comes out easy but goes back in easy too.

And the lcd was open when it fell so prob is them blue wires.

Yes, one of the blue wires inside the lcd panel housing was a bit moved. I bet thats your source of the problem too.

Nope sorry, been really cold and windy here. Hopefully I will get to take it out tomorrow for a test flight. Testing several things at once so it will be interesting.

While trying to come up with a power supply for my VuPoint dvr, I found that it will run on 4.5v to 6v, haven't tested any further either direction. I have a car adapter for 4.5v so I will probably use that running off a LiPo or the car battery.
