This is a test I did with the JXD318 recording from the TV. All of my FPV videos have been converted to mpeg or avi, so I don't have any of the original MP4 recordings left. If I get chance tomorrow, I will go out flying and post the raw recording from a FPV flight.

oh well i was looking for an interlaced one,

thnks any way,

this video you posted dont looks to be interlaced
probably JXD318 record what it gets, if signal is interlaced hen you get an interlaced video
if signal is progresive then you get a nice video,

I haven't tried. Battery life is pretty good at over 2 hours, so I never thought about needing to extend the battery life.

2 hours recording thru AV IN ?

w0w, my Minox runs out of battery at 15 min recording,
but still have battery to play music and videos,
looks like AV IN eat too much battery and battery is unable to discharge so many mA for long time,

Actually, I haven't tried recording for 2 hours, so that may be a lie. I have watched films on it that are over 2 hours long. The longest I have recorded on it is about 20 mins at a time, but I'm sure I've recorded a few 20 min flights without having to recharge it.

Greetings,

Does anyone know that the bitrate of the piano recorders is in it's highest quality mode? Given the praise they get for recording quality, I have to believe it's higher than most, but has anyone actually measured it, or found a spec for it?

One other question while I'm at it- Can you start and stop recordings without having a monitor on the output? I know you have to use the remote, but since there's a REC indicator, I'm hoping you can just hit the record button on the remote, see the light come one, and know that it's recording. I assume you'd have to set up recording preferences once, but I'm hoping you don't have to navigate menus for every recording.

Thanks,
Rusty

These Keychain Cameras have poor charging circuits. Finaly the battery just couldnt record longer than 5minutes so I was about to chuck it and order another one.....

Since I had little to loose, I opened her up! I cut the battery away with some scissors, and soldered a servo lead to the RED/BLACK wire the battery used to be soldered to.

I figured since its Charged and pulls files off via USB at 5volts it can probably be run off my BEC at 5volts via a Y-adapter to CH3.

CONFIRMED, Full power and video footage from Takoff to landing now!

Thanks! Thought I would double check! Is there a device that I can use like a 2.5Hdd recorder that I can use my hard drive on? I got information on there that I need to get off anyway, so if I can find a recorder I'll be killin 2 birds with 1 stone! I take it's 2.5hdd though?

Thanks again

That's fantastic!
Can you maybe show the internals, and the skill level required for this mod? Good find, SoMoney!
