Machinable Wax

http://freemansupply.com/MachinableWax.htm

Cool stuff.... And it's self releasing too.

Might be a nice idea to make a plug half from this stuff, and pull a self-releasing mold with a near-perfect finish. This stuff can also be polished.

And not very expensive...

Freeman seems to carry quite a line of molding and pattern making products... I'm interested in using one of their urethane products someday.

I've looked at Freeman stuff before. They have some very interesting products. I fI was stll in the business of producing RC Sailplanes, I'd be using some of it for sure. Tooling surface coat, the paste for thickening a mold, the wax for parting boards, machineable wax...... good stuff. I wish I had known of them when I was in business.
