However like many others I would'nt know where to start, esp using my laptop to install your software afterwards.
If you sold a kit with full instructions I would be more than happy to trial it and of course pay you.
I can solder and have some electronic knowledge, but mostly as a signal faultfinder on the railways in the UK.
Oh and I can reflash my Blackberry but not sure if that counts! Lol.
George.
Thanks
There will be no kits from me, This one is aimed at the scratch builder / mad scientist / pain lover (assembly language ). However, the internet is nearly overflowing of info to program these microcontrollers.

A second look yielded some 10 mhz as well but I am still curious about the timing.

Well a third look at the pic shows the 20PI to be a 20mhz version so I guess the 8 mhz is derived from dividing the internal osc down. Forgive me the 2313 was the last avr I worked with.
You can use any Atmega48. The clock of 8MHz is set with the fuses.

Will a Atmega8 work as well ?

Some questions . .

Hi kapteinkuk

Newbee here!

Some questions:

Which of the Turnigy 2215 motors are you using?
This:
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=2105

or this:
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=9021

What is the power source of the quad? The schematic just refers it to as Vcc.

How is the +5V derived for the system?

What is the flytime with the batteries that you used?

What is the weight of the quad (all loaded)?

Any benefit to be accrued by using the uC clocked at 16MHz?

Once again a fantastic video & a cool quad that you've made!

Very nice Jürgen. Thanks!
Cheers,

That's a shame! Your home made quad is one of the most stable I have seen, and most videos only ever show shaky hovering
Can you post up a good link where I can find some useful info?

Thanks. George.

Just wondering about and saw this....cracking work.

With my limited knowledge think i could do this! Happy days

Anyone interested in this.Flashing MCU can be done quite cheaply...if you have an LPT port on you compter your laughing CHEAP programmer! PonyProg

I'm hopeing atmega 88 good with this too ?

BTW more a solder jocky but can butcher code

-Uses the complete gyro sub assembly from the HK401B gyro, with capacitors.

Video will follow shortly.
GREAT; amaizing!! Do you use Helicopter Transmitter with CCPM mixing? Any 72mhz receiver will work?

This thread could easy turn into a hot one !!!

Hi Kapteinkuk,

The Wii Motion Plus is £14.91 from amazon.co.uk
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wii-Motion-P...6850678&sr=8-1

What is channel 5 used for in the schematic?

Thanks for a great project

None of them, It is this one: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=5686
I have previosly written that it is the 2215 motor, wich is wrong.

>What is the power source of the quad? The schematic just refers it to as Vcc.

The power to the controller comes from the BEC of the ESCs

>What is the flytime with the batteries that you used?

3S1800 gives about 10 min

>What is the weight of the quad (all loaded)?

1015g

>Any benefit to be accrued by using the uC clocked at 16MHz?

Not with current software

>Once again a fantastic video & a cool quad that you've made!

Thanks
