The FC gives out 10% throttle as soon as the throttle leaves zero. Looks like they need more than 10% throttle.

If you have the possibility, change the idle value in the code, this line: "b16ldi Temp, 10 ;this is the motor idle level"

Also you can try another ESC. I can recomend the Hobbycity Plush series. They works with this FC.

Also there should be no problem flying it, but you will not have the undersaturate protection, this can lead to momentarely motor stopping during turbulence or large stick deflections.
Speaking of this problem, I can't get the FC to arm unless I turn my throttle trim way down. Can I change the 1% threshold to 5% for arming?

ESC calibration mode is entered by turning yaw gain pot to zero.

Which means that I would buy at least a atmega88 (or larger) and no longer would settle for an atmega48. That would leave you with at least 4190 bytes left.....

I need a little help from some of the electronics gurus here (Kaptein....)

Seems the TH boards are very popular and that Niall is going to make a new batch - this time from Seedstudio.

I gives the possibilty to go 2-sided and add the ISP-pins for free!

I made this 2-sided design earlier and build a prototype for myself that works fine as controller. But I cant get ISP-connection! What have I done wrong?

R11 is a 4,7 KOhm....

I had assumed that with two counter rotating props, that you could slow one pair while speeding up the other to control yaw
From my understanding, you use 4 standard props. Then you mount the two motors that would have counter-rotating props in a "conventional" quad slightly tilted to the side, such that the thrust vector for these props has a horizontal component that offsets the torque of the propellers. To control yaw you speed up the tilted rotors while slowing down the two straight ones or vice versa. I believe it is somewhere in this thread. Jakub ?

I will have to try this as I went ahead and ordered dt750s with regular props only. (unfortunately I put the order through before I got 420RC's warning that recent batches of the dt750s have been bad - it was getting late here and I wanted to submit the cart before going t bed).

That is exactly what I've done in mine. (which hasn't flown yet).

In theory it would be slightly more efficient to tilt all motors the same way until the copter doesn't rotate at all due to the torque. Then you tilt two one way and the other two the other way to allow yaw control. In practice this method doesn't differ much from what opticalflow described.

Here is some video of modified quad.

I replaced the very bad 28-30XP with 2409-10, and that flies much better. Not as noisy too...also made new G10 body, and shortened it to 70 cm.

It now flies with standard 1047 SF props from Hobbyking. Flight time is 11-12 minutes on 2150 Mah 25C 3S. AUW is 1097 grams with new body....

I think the standard props works just fine, but for AP or FPV I would still go with 1045 EPP CW/CCW or APC SF/SFP. With 1045 EPP I get a minute or two longer flight times, which could point towards poorer efficiency with the slanted normal props.....

It can carry my 450 gram Canon HF100 camcorder with no problems - sadly one of my 2409īs has a crooked bell and it vibrates to much for steady onboard shots. I balanced all 4 bells on motors and that made a huge difference, but I hadnīt noticed that one bell was crooked....

Those gyro's, are they 8x4mm? I need those gyro's to fix my Xaircraft X500-D quad.
From what gyro did you take them ( lifted from old 4 in 1's)? , and how did you desolder them from the print?
