I am working on getting the San Diego F3B contingent to attend. Perhaps, camping on the field. I am also slinging LEDs on all of my electric toys

Bring those F3B winches out - there is a rumor of an F3J contest/Team Practice Thursday and Friday AM. They are still working out the details, but looks promising. This would be a good chance for you B buys to form a team try F3J with winches...

Thanks for the heads up about a possible F3J contest/practice. It will help us request enough time off. Please keep us posted as details emerge.

I'm down. I know I can make Friday for sure, but not sure about Thursday too. We will see as the date gets closer. I have to save my PTO as I am planing a family trip to Europe this summer with a side track to a Eurotour event

I think I can make this event. Where are the nearest hotels for those of us who can't camp? Thanks.

Hey Freak, how are you! No rv this year, I hate driving that thing. Besides, wife and kids can only be fooled into it the first time . Do you know where people usually stay during the event? The closest hotel I saw was at some Casino I think.

Tuan,
I think most folks stay at one of the hotels along I60. Apache Junction is the closest to the field.

Hey Tuan,
I'm doing great. I'm gonna try and be there. I'll be traveling light, toting my 2M with me and borrowing an RES bird from a friend in Phoenix. Really looking forward to hanging out with everyone!

I'm considering going.
What's the mileage from LA, Tuan?
When are you coming back so I can test drive your X4m?? Had the whole field to myself last weekend!

T, its about 400mi from me. About 6 hour drive. If I do go ( always hard to plan a 3-4 day event with 2 young kids), we can hook up with car pooling if you want.

My wife just ask me if we should stay in Chicago til after New Years As much as I love my parents and siblings and my sister's house I am staying in, don't know if I can handle being cooped up in it for another month due to the weather here, we'll see.

But right now I have no idea when we heading back to C, but I don't think it'll be Dec 5th now .
