OK, Now that I think I can post photos, here's some of my new sternwheeler. The Virginia B. is a little excursion boat of my own design intended for use on rivers or small lakes. Full size, she would be 107 ft. long and about 24 ft. beam. The 1/32 scale model is 42 in. by 9 in. She has twin wheels driven from the middle of the shaft by a toothed belt drive from a geared Maxon 12V DC motor. Her namsake is Virginia Bennett, an elderly local lady who worked for Cincinnati's Greene Line Steamers for many years and is locally known as "Cincinnati's Harbor Mother" Now in her eighties, she resides in a local rest home.

So where are the photos of the model boat?

HEY JOHN!!! Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Now that you have got the positing of pictures down pat, may I suggest that you think about posting some of your older builds for those on the forum who haven’t seen some of your builds.

I consider you to be a master builder and historian of paddle wheel boats, as well as a business acquaintance and friend. I am glad that you have finally decided to start posting on the forum. Your addition of information and expertise are more than welcome here.

Beautiful work John. The colors are just right and the detail is excellent. I too would like to see the innards if you can post it. Great picture taking too.
A very good idea naming it after a person that you know and has done something for the boating community. I hope she knows of your dedicating the model to her and bet she's pretty happy about it. Pete
