LADDIE’s scale model of OMAC-1

Here is my newest scale model. It is OMAC-1 which stands for Old Man Aircraft Company. The model has 58” wingspan. Whole model was built from 1” insulation foam. The model is powered by AXI 4120/18 with 6S LiPos.
It took three minor crashes to get the model flying right. The model is rock steady now and very responsive to the control inputs. When approaching the stall speed, the wing starts rocking. This was great to find out. If ignored, the model will just start sinking fast hitting the ground hard. I found this hard way. At this time I am re-finishing the outside of the model to hide scars from test flights.

As usual, another very interesting model. Love 'em.

Interesting that you chose insulation foam as the major airframe component.

Always great seeing photos of your latest, and even better when I get lucky enough to see them fly.

Laddie, when will these plans become available. Don't know why I ask as I am still putting the finishing touches on the Shearwater.
Thanks
