Heh, heh, humorous exchange. I guess we have established that it isn't critical! When I first built my original OSG, I think I recall about 2" at tips, but other guys went with 3 to 4" at tips and got more responsive control. The value of a multitude of builders!
I have been pleasantly astounded at how many folk have built and enjoyed this plane over the years. Gratifying!
