The weatherman was spot-on. 20mph no rain until about 1:45pm. I was there from 10:00 and got lots of flying in.

Pilots Guide show NE 4mph early and then switching to NW and less wind in the afternoon.

I went by there today on my way home from Central Oregon and there was just a slight SW wind blowing. Not even enough for me to pull off the freeway and drive up the hill.
That was about 1:30pm.

We'll get it right one of these times Tim! Hope the trip over to Central Oregon was both relaxing and productive.

Wind looks possible tomorrow for Peterson Butte (7-9 mph) SSW. It looks even stronger at the coast (Ecola St Park).

I will go one place or another, deciding in the morning with new forecast....

I went to Ecola State Park instead of Peterson Butte. Winds were SSE about 15mph. It was pretty cold. I got lots of flying in with my Le Fish.

It is flying right over the ocean on a SSW facing cliff of about 200 feet or so. The landing area is very restricted, I usually just fly foamies there for that reason.

The view is outstanding and the winds are pretty well predictable as a front approaches. There are usually some spectators asking the normal questions (how does it fly without a motor, isn't the wind too strong, how do you get it back, how much does it cost).

Here I am paragliding at Ecola St Park, and another view showing the launch area. Sorry, no pics of RC flying.

I flew there two years ago too but was paranoid that a park ranger might ask me to leave. Not sure why I was concerned - posted no rc flying zone?
