Don't let the road condition stop you. It is only a short hike from the road bad spot to the slope. Easy enough to carry a couple of gliders up for the day.

I won't be taking my big scale ship up until the road is repaired, but I can hike up with my smaller planes.

Yup. Not a bad walk if you're jonesing to rip the bring a little. There's a decent little turn-out just below the chasm.

Not really fixed .... 6 cars did not make it past the bad spot today. The flying was great! There were a bunch of paragliders flying, and me.

I flew my scale ASH-25, my Victor, and my Le Fish. Winds were 12-15 SSW and tapered off to about 8 SSW at the end of the day. Beautiful sunshine.

Gotta get the road fixed!

Road repair has been rescheduled for March 22 due to weather and the a water saturated road. Hopefully it will dry out a little by next Tuesday.

Its not that bad ..That is why we fly our hlg's or the Hotliners,Pylon planes,Sailplanes with a winch....Peterson is a treat that we get to enjoy only part of the time .If you are down here in Eugene there is J's Ridge. If you can control your crunchy, It is way better than the butte .. If you cant get one of my Crunchy Catchers! If you can hit a 13' square then you wont worry about landing zones and the net will do the rest

Eugene is another half hour further for PDX to drive, and if J's Ridge is in the Coburgs or the coast range somewhere, it'll be more like another hour and a half. BTW, where IS J's Ridge?

That is true Eugene is a half hour further and J's Ridge is south west of Eugene down w 11th to poodle creek rd (by Noti) then turn left on Fisk rd drive to the top there are many slopes there, It is a bit Stumpy ..Wasn't meaning to be a ass It is a nice place to fly or ds steep slopes on both sides of the road you can land on the road..Mostly dirt or use any net for stopping the fast ones that you cant catch.........
NOT as nice as your place!
