Scratch Build Project 2008


Being an old balsa buster, it seemed like a good idea to make a 150% Gentle Lady. For size reference, the workbench top is made from a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood!

Glad there are still glider builders out there. I never owned the Gentle Lady but many of the pilots I flew with years ago loved them. Maybe I'll upsize my Airtronics Aquila plans one day!

That's sweet! Where did you get the plans enlarged at and what did it cost you?

Scaled the ribs on my home photocopier and used some old drafting skills to draw the rest on large sheets of paper. Cut all of the parts on my Craftsman jig saw.
