Not exactly a BOT, but perhaps a bit better airfoil?:

Go with the kit from Sky Bench mate, Ray has sent me two kits to Aus so far and they are well worth it, modernised versions of old design, strong, lightweight flyers, quality wood, nice plans. Like comparing chalk and cheese, you gets what you pay for.

Yes you are right with the comment that you get what you pay for I sell opal from my web and people whant red crystal at the price of potch ( colour less opal) and get disapointed when they get someting that they paid $20 for. Laser cut is way better than die and sounds like the Balsa is better quality to..

DF,

See my post above about Dave Brown. He is in NSW and will cut what you like. Has a short kit to RCM plans or in my case cut ribs only to my specs (3 piece wing, AG36-38 series foils, I call the resulting model a BooT - Bird of our Time. Made with Drela methods stolen from the Bubble Dancer, it behaves accordingly, no chance of clapping wings, and looks kinda BoT'ish).

... and postage will be a LOT less.

OK already,

So here are some pictures of a kind of BoT I call a BooT made using Mark Drela's techniques. Launches like no other BoT (that's right isn't it Bec).

Dave Brown {daveb@ix.net.au} can cut the ribs for you. Set up for 3 piece wing (as per BD, Allegro Lite).

DF,

I cheated and electrocuted my BD. I still enjoy electrics, but find gliders more challenging.

Here is the start of a few posts that show the build and some pole dancing...

Enjoy.
