WOW ! it has been a couple months since i was able to fly,got out today with the Diamond 2500, first off it was tail heavy (of course didnt check it) was like a porpoise on crack !! wind was blowing around 15mph, i went ahead and flew it for about 9 minutes like this, about 4 minutes in i was up quite high (luckily) stalled her out good and right ! it fell, then tipped then started spinning woohooo hit the throttle ! I was gliding at the time. bringing it in to land was a real treat being tail heavy, wind swirling, hit flaps up down up down up down !!! got her calmed down and on the ground, set the CG correctly (had to add 4- 7G leads in nose) second 10 minute flight was sweet !! But the over turning and jumpy up and down stuff was just as much from not flying ... ohh this is a used diamond 2500 i bought, the guy had it setup for fpv,so the weights were taken out of the nose from what i can tell. anyhow anyone else notice how fast you get rusty when you dont fly ?

Thanks for you recent PM's Fastfwd.

I collected my Diamond 2500 on Thursday.

A thorough check over of the model, which is brand new and still boxed, revealed broken gears on the servo on the left flap..

All the others seem ok but I'll replace them all with metal gear ones.

Also the hinges are really stiff so I'll need to work those while the servos are out.

The rudder horn is loose and not gripping on to much of the foam so I'm gonna replace all the horns and clevices too.

It was a bargain price from Ebay and a private sale. He is an RC Heli pilot and thought he'd like a go with gliders and got a big one. However poor chap was a bit daunted at the size of the thing

The model also comes with the 4s lipo and 60 amp ESC so I'm very pleased.

I will also upgrade the stock prop to the aeronaut 14x8.

Stunning model.. Will be flying in a couple of weeks after the upgrades, a change in weather and the time to fly due to my shift patterns..

If you want to upgrade to MG servos, I recommend the T-Pro MG90s's. It's what I've been using, and they've been working great for me.

$199.00 Just need a 60amp esc so you can use a 4s 2500 lipo and two servos so you can cut the flaps in
