FYI I put mine together at home just to see how it would go (haven't flown it yet) but didn't have any of the problems noted by the other poster. For the $$$, I was pleasantly surprised that the fit and finish was as good as it was.

Robbe Arcus Sport or....

The Robbe Arcus Sport is almost similar to this one.

There are differences though:

Length: 1500 mm
RC functions:

speed controller.

Specs ArtTech 2500:

Length: 1500mm (59 inch)

Which one to get......?

I was wondering what the "inspiration" for the DA 2500 was - looks almost identical!

Well, I thought the 2500 was a clone from the Robbe as well. But on a German forum I read the opposite: Apparantly the Robbe was later on the market then the Art Tech.

Allthough the airframe Robbe uses is almost certainly from the same manufacturer, they do use their own electronics (But where do they come from....

I am very interested in this glider.

Can those who have received theirs tell me if the glider arrives with the
"paint splats" already applied?

If so, has anyone tried to remove them?

I'm interested in a more "scale" look and would want to try to remove the decals, but I dont want to tear the EPP surface.

Yes, mine came that way. Kind of funky looking and doubt that they would be very easy to remove...

Ive got mine today, and as Im not to fond of the graphics i started to peel them away at once. Those on the fuze and fin are easy to peel away, theres a big one on the top of the stab and its also easy to get a grip on, but those on the topside of the wings are really thin and fragile and there seems to be a coat of something over them as well. I scratched with my fingernail and they release in small pieces, not hard but will take some time, so I will have color fragments under my nails for a while.

Any pictures yet? How are the thermal capabilities of this bird? Sure you guys must have flown them by now......
Anybody know a good European reseller where I can get the version without the lipo, tx and rx? I only see the RTF version for sale....

My D-2500 Was good in all areas it flew like a dream and it will climb out almost straight up in seconds. I did most of the trim work on the ground it flew as straight as a line and had to put some up elev on it after that it was awesome.

This might be a reach but,,,,

I noticed the add at Banana says the Diamond uses spectrum radio tech. I was wondering if I could join my Spektrum DX6I tx to the enclosed tx with a training cord? Anyone know?

Howdy people!

please give me some hints:

Im pretty much a beginner but very fast learner
I own a place with a very large lawn and private lake and want to have a fun hobby when I go there (except the usual fishing, windsurfing, etc sports)

so Im thinking of buying a sailplane like the Robbe or the Artech ones seen here. It looks like fun! I want to have a videocam like the one here attached (http://hobbyfly.de/en/new-rc-product...-pnp-3450.html)

my question to you people (if you know anything = which I believe you do! is how difficult is it to fly these things and how and where do I buy a camera like in the video from hobbyfly.de?? also saw somewhere glasses which you wear and through which you see your flight real time which would be so cool. I would ideally like a plane that can fly very far, fast and that is robust enough to land on grass..and Im thinking video because I cant understand how you guys see the planes when they are 1mile south and 200ft up, I mean how do you even know which direction you are flying then??

btw. those jet planes can they land on grass or only tarmac?

Thanks folks if you can help me out here and please Im not looking for advice such as start with a beginner airplane etc.. I can afford to crash so I want something fun and impressive from the get go
