This thread must never die. At least not until someone else buys the rights to these planes and re-releases them. So much fun to fly. It's what I judge all my other purchases by, and they mostly come up short. Too expensive and not as fun.

So pretty much now all I do is scratch build lots of smaller planes.

Hobbyists being as creative as they are, is it possible to produce foam planes in our work shops? Am I to naive?

I should have made myself more clear. I meant setting up the molds and and making the pieces for these particular war birds.

I have made a few foamies from depron. I was just wondering if if would be feasible to cast foam pieces in homemade molds?

I just read through that thread. It gives me some hope of casting parts for my Gravity warbirds. Something new to take up my limited time!

Nice to see u guys here. I followed for a long time and built a p-47 a few years back from this thread. I used a hk 1811 2900kv, nose hatch, 360 rihno batts and added ailerons. The plane still flies great on three cells its really fast and i like to fly it when its to windy to fly anything else. Only 1 of the three motors I bought actually worked out. I think it must actually just have a lower kv than the others. I was gonna do a 2 cell w/ ar6200 combo corsair, but parkzone came out w all there stuff and that project just got put on the back shelf. I am almost finished w a guillows(rubber band) b-17 conversion. I just wanted to stop in and say thanks for all the good advice.
