It flat out hauled until the wings folded on it's first high speed roll . I just ordered 2 more P-40's and 2 P-47's to experiment with making one hold up to the power and then playing with lightweight setups in the others .
Park 370? Whoa thats complete and total overkill?
I'm not surprised the wings folded...

Heh, it was all I had here, so I gave it a shot. The plane actually flew better than expected at that weight, just didn't slow down too well- it dropped like a rock at low speeds . I am going to build another one with the same setup, but reinforce the wings with CF and see how it goes. The other ones are going to be more practical setups.

I tried the plane with the stock brushed motor and 800 2S and I just could not get it airborne. However, I did not have a manual when I built that plane (friend gave me the cox kit missing the manual) and I think I had too much throw in it, causing it to overcorrect and stall easily on launch.

Just wondering what ESC are you using with the AR6400?

Is your motor 2S?

I'd like to do a setup with an AR6400 however I can't find a light weight ESC that lets you use 1S for the RX and 2S (or more) for the motor.

This Turnigy ESC does the opposite: runs 1S motor but has a switching BEC to supply 5V to the RX. Neat! If only I could find a suitable 1S motor for these COX warbirds. I was thinking that this Turnigy 16-06 motor has a good KV but not sure if it would be enough? Probably something more like 3500-4000KV would swing a 5x3" prop fairly well.

Website worked for me now.
Last week I did get a email that I had been unsubscribed from their newsletter, but I didn't ask to be. Kinda flakey.

This plane is too heavy for a 1 cell setup. You have to use a 2s lipo. No one has done a 1 cell Cox warbird that I know of. The AR6400-AR6400L has to be converted to 2s operation. Its all here https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1269743

Ok, that is a long thread and shows a AR-6300 setup as well. Here is the post that shows how to convert the AR6400L to 2 cell operation.... https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...6&postcount=51

Forgetting that it can't be used outside the US, I just tried it from Nova Scotia, (currently visiting my brother) and it worked...

Cox Warbirds

For those of you who are having trouble purchasing their warbirds from GH...I have few of the COX kits NIB. PM me with what you are looking for and possibly we can negotiate transaction.

I live well within the US. I still get a blank white screen no matter what computer I try, but I can access it through my iPhone. I'm just not computer literate enough or something.
