Worlds Cheapest Slope Glider

Well folks I've had this plane in my closet for almost 2 years now maybe even more. It was sort of a gag gift from my sister one Christmas and I thought hmm I have the parts why not try and make it a sloper.

The carbon fiber strips really make the tail and the wings quite stiff. I have left them removable for transport but if they flex too much I'll just make them permanent.

Parts breakdown:
-----------------
3A UBEC
Corona 4CH RX
3 x 5g TP servos (of course I had to pick the best of the bunch)
2S TP 730mah lipo

This all comes out to 9.1oz AUW and seems like it could be really fun. I'll report back when I get back from the Hills.

Will fly for food

I doubt your ailerons are big enough to handle landing at slow speeds. Once you get into a rotor or anything that rolls the ship on approach you may have a difficult time getting it back level.

Was fun building a fast setup for a change.

I can't see that being a problem in the sort of air this one will be flying in - we USED to slope single channel back in 'the good ole days' - no problem!

Cool project. I have squirreled away two or three of those planes over the years for just such a sloper.

If the aileron control doesn't work out, try adding a big rudder. The sweepback gives the effect of dihedral, and it'll turn fine.

Just what I was thinking of doing. I have two of these, one of which I think I will spend some time on and attempt a kit bash into a B52.

Oh boy..

Well I can definately say now when you have a problem you just need to over engineer the problem.

Finally I came up with something that worked to my satisfaction. Hope to fly it soon when winds pick up to 10mph.
