Only thing I'm sure of is that it won't be coming out until after the Chinese New Year holiday. I have several projects that need 600 size stuffing.

Is this the only thread on the FHH 500?

I have been flying one for a few weeks now... mixed impressions, but have had two failures in the tail already... I have upgraded to metal align parts; hopefully I will have it back in the air this week.

13t worked well for my style of sport flying "2D"

Enjoy your RCAerodyne "Blue". I'm reworking mine to carry a Red Bull BO-105 fun scale fuselage.

Thanks Boyd! How are the PowerHD 3688 servos holding up for you on it? I'm just about this ->| |<- close to ordering the heli from RCAerodyne.

I have had zero problems with the servo's. The entire electronics suite that Cliff (RCAeroDyne) provided has made this one of my favorite fun time heli flyer's.

I'm going to have to wait on getting my FHH500. Mom needed a new faucet set for the kitchen, the wife wanted a new heating pad, I ended up getting some stuff for the Mini Titan and now most of my hobby fund is gone. No worries though, The Mini Titan will be a lot more visible with a new red Pro-Line canopy, orange KBDD paddles and T/R blades and the new Turnigy Nano-Tech 2200's all balanced out perfectly on the first charge at 1C. Now, if it would stop raining, I'll go out and fly the MT...

Take care guys!

So is anyone still flying this RCA FHH500? I see it is still available in blue with TT tail. Is it any nicer than a HK or EXI 500? I'd prefer it with a FBL head.

Still flying mine. Over 100 flights and trouble free. Every bit as nice as the T-Rex 500's I own.

I'm going to see if RCA will sell me the kit without FB head and blades.

No response via email so I called them. The kid didn't seem to interested in selling me anything. They didn't want to part out the kit nor offer the complete kit at a discount. Ah well, I'll probably do an EXI or HK 500 instead.

Some people really like the FHH; mine was plagued with troubles, and eventually became an Align ship... IMHO I would not hesitate trying another vendor like EXI or HK

I do realize my experience may not be typical of all the people flying this heli...

I called them again to ask with the Chaos 500 was 2x the price of the FHH 500. The kid says because it has more carbon fiber...the pics show equal metal and carbon fiber parts. Then he said the metal is better and more durable. At 2x the price...you could just buy the FHH one twice! Then I asked about bearings being better on the Chaos...he was like uh, sure.

I'm guessing FHH is the same as EXI, HK, CopterX, etc. The Chaos might be a notch above them in quality, possibly riveling Align...but the price is just too high!

Everytime I consider ordering from RCA...I just can't make myself do it.

I really like RCA, I just have not been a fan of the FHH series.

I absolutely think RCA has by far, the number 1 selection of Scale Helis. The quality of these scale ships are top notch, and the vast selection in of all types and in all sizes is simply unbeatable. My buddy WebDr is currently building a blue MD500 in the 700 size and it is really a fantastic kit.
