mmm, notice the airbrake outline? I can't believe they made it backwards. Not too crazy about the gun ports either. But, it may be a pretty good performer. Did it fly at E-jets?

Wonder what the exhaust diameter is..

I was told the model at e-jets was just a prototype used to put together the instruction manual and the speed brake issue was going to be addressed before production. Hope so anyway..

Yeah, that was the first thing I noticed when I saw that pic a while back. If you're looking at pics to get panel lines, how could you even screw that up??? Crazy. Canopy looks wrong too.

The real prototype saber was designed with forward opening speed brakes, it was changed and production sabers use the 'normal' speed brakes.

the f-86 did not fly at E-Jets. he was just displaying it but didn't have it labeled as a HET aircraft....most people probably never knew what it was. it looked fairly good for its size. The large panel lines and the backwards speedbrake were noted when i saw it, as well as the large seam where the fin attaches to the fuse. It wasn't the final version so i would imagine these thing were looked at before final production. i said looked at...not necessarily fixed, i have had 5 different het airframes.

aaaargh! those discrepencies stand out like a pimple on your nose. I would certainly hope that it is fixed on the final version, because other than that, the model looks nice, I look forward to seeing it in its final version.

I don't think it was designed to win TOP GUN. You'll also notice the canopy is not clear, like I said, this is not the final production model. As long as it is stand off scale and flys well I want one. No one else has one except foam versions.

EJF has the old HOB F-86 with a glass fuse and built up wings.

Scott Black had a beautiful Sabre, but I think he sold the molds.... very scale. Used a Wemo 609 fan in it and flew great. Still have mine in GH (Golden Hawks) scheme. I'd love to have another one.
