I was looking last night at the same deal - seems pretty sweet - looks a perfect plane for a slope thats has a rough LZ They have a motorised version on the website with all the info on the motor and esc. I believe its all hyperion gear.

How close are those trees?

I bought one myself last week. I thought they looked pretty good before, but the free postage made the decision very easy!

Anyway arrived less than a week after placing the order (thanks Ming) and it was packed really well and looks good.

I can't help as far as a motor choice goes (as I'm goingt to build mine as a un-powered towed glider and sloper) but here's its very active thread: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=740034

If you hadn't checked it out before; there's heaps of info on putting motors into the Fox etc.

Good find, I got an order in today.
I wasn't after one, but at under 80 bucks delivered, why not?

Cheers

If you want to power it.

As they say a pix is worth a thousand words ,and it works well but you need a lathe and some bar alloy, or perhaps use plastic pipe. i have a few more pix on mod's

The motor was a tripple 20mm stator kit from gobrushless wich i wound and assembled ,i have more details if you want,
I certainly havent noticed any undue heat so maybe you could get away with a composite made up of high temp" epoxy glue and carbon fibre tape .

Fox Mods

I have a Windrider Fox and built it stock standard as a sloper despite all the good advise on another forum regarding the weakness of the wings and tailplane. Well they were all correct about being weak.
My advise is to go to the trouble of strenghtening the wings and tail plane to stop them from bending under the slightest load. Also get rid of the moulded in ailerons and replace with balsa. I also strapped the underside of the wing with cross weave tape.
Now I have a slope model worth flying.

re the molded alerons ,i balsa edged the wing and alerons and used H/City live hinges, same with the tail feathers ,reason was i used diamond servo's D47's in the tail end and D60's for alerons wich are very light and the resolution is excellent, so i did not want any binding.
another mod was to pass the pushrods up through the wing to horns on top of the alerons wich allows me to use them for spoilerons without pushrods bending under load.
