I used a tiny bit of some stuff called scothckote by 3m. It is actually liquid electrical tape. Dries very similar to whatever the factory used. It can be found in electrical supply houses such as Graybar or Rexel. Other hardware stores may carry it as well I am not sure.
There may be something better I am not sure I tried it cause I had it on hand. Maybe someone else can suggest a better product. This has been working very well for me though.
I used this as I knew it would be very easy to remover if needed.
