HI Jurgen,
I watched the 1st of the Championship videos you posted (Martin Muller), It's phenomenal. How does the plane back up? What is the trick for that?? Thrust reverser? Propeller suddenly spinning the other way? Another Prop for backing up?? I'm curious to know. While I wait for your answer, I'll go watch the other videos Thanks for posting them! Michael |

Martin's Extra is equipped with a so called "Variable Pitch Prop", plus the motor mount is linked to the rudder servo for "Vectored Thrust": https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1124981 Jürgen |

Hello Jurgen,
I spent almost 4 full days looking at just about every video and link attached to your blog. I sent links to many buddies to have a look too. It was a very pleasent stay here. I even got inspired to build 2 F3P flyers. Aiden was nice enough to post and constantly make refinements to his nicely designed INDEX version 3 now. He has a great bunch of guys that give him input to help make the plane further improved. My new planes are 32 inch and a smaller 24 inch size with pink foam and depron in the larger one as I want it for outdoors and just Depron foam for the smaller one. I mainly will use them as trainers as I am a more advanced flyer now. Thank you for your great blog and all the wonderful entertainment I enjoyed here. Happy Holiday season and Merry Christmas too. **Neons** Bob |

This is a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. Glad I downloaded them. Martin's first flight there was pretty amazing. He must practice quite a lot, to be able to combine the vectored thrust and variable pitch stunts with the rest of it so well.
You did a good job of keeping up with those guys too, Jurgen. It is not easy; one can never tell which way they're going to go next. |
