Hi all and Happy Thanksgiving!

$50.00 for the P-38 kit looks like a steal! However, I have to ask this: would it be a good idea for a noobie to put together a twin-engine kit? The only building experience I have is with the Parkzone Wildcat and Thunderbolt and that only involves putting in the receiver and binding my Tx.

The kit comes with the motors installed, so that's good, but I can't help but to be slightly intimidated by it since I've never done a kit before. Thanks, in advance!

J-Power Vs. Banana P-38....?????

I hit the button on 2 of these in green anyway.....So, are they old stock version 1's where the cockpit section is all one with the fuselage center section or like the J-Power edition with bigger motors and the cockpit lifts off?.....I have both and these seem to be the only differences. Everything else is proportionate......Steve

I think I been Nananered. Ordered Silver ARF a week ago when it showed in stock. A few days I got me a backorder slip. The next day the price dropped on the Website so I clicked 'On Line Support" and had a chat about that. I was told I would get the lower price. Late yesterday I got anothe email saying,"Silver has been discontinued", would I like the green one? Well okay, if I have too. It is still not clear if the lower price applies or what version it will be. I tried to find out but...well that question was just too hard to answer...I guess. Birthday coming up soon so I'm waiting on whatever supprize Nananer has for me.

On the other side my V1 Silver still flies well.

New P-38 Owner

I pulled the trigger on the BH $49 kit special. According to website it is a 55", Version 1? but hardly no other info. I'm certainly no newbie to building but it will be my first multiprop plane.

What do you recommend for UBEC? One for each ESC or just use one like Castle CC-10 with both ESC's going to it with red wires disabled of course.

Is there an option to use flaps? ...needed?

I noted mods on engine to put wooden bulkheads to bolster them which seems like a good idea. Any other must have mods?

Are 30 amp ESC's enough? (I have a couple of Turnigy Plush 30's lying around)

Thanks,

Russ

Get rid of the landing gear or install some quality servoless retracts.
Beef up the tail section, primarily the vertical fin underneath.
Cut an access hatch out underneath the cockpit to reach the RX and servo plugs.
No flap option unless you want to build it all on your own.
