FunBuild 3-Turner-Laird"Pesco" Special enlarged Cleveland plans

This time again already , well here we go. This time around it will be the 1938 Turner-Laird Pesco Special from Cleveland plans which have been enlarged to 36” WS. I had so much fun with the last plan build of the Luscombe Phantom , like that wasn’t enough punishment !, ya I’m a sucker for punishment . I was inspired by Jim’s Turner Laird Special in the 1st Scratch Build off, His came out absolutely beautiful . I’m a bit fond of the early air racers Its just something about there lines.

I’m not sure of the power set up Im going with at this time but I am open for suggestions .

Here are a couple pictures of what I hope the final results will look like and a look at one page of the plans…

Let the building begin!!

You sure will be. Gotta love the enlarged builds, cut by hand. I'll be watching. I'm sure there will be a bit of redesign also, as is usually the case with enlarged builds. Making things even more interesting is that the inaccuracies and heavy line widths of hand drawings are multiplied, with the enlarged plans.

I'm cutting the notches this evening in the last few wing formers, and will then have a complete parts kit for an enlarged 19" to 35.8" Sterling Ansaldo SVA5. I'll post a thread later this evening.

spell check flagged wacker and Ansaldo

I would like to thank you guy's for your interest in my build but if it is ok with you guy's I was thinking on abandoning this one for the fun build oh I'm going to build it but at my leisure over the next couple winters that I will post on the group.

please don't kill me

I'll be switching to a Ryan STM From Capital Model Aircraft Co. plans that I aquired awhile back and was going to build this winter anyway.

I'll start a new thread soon,

sorry ,

Ok Glenn ,
