Walkera 4#3B: Bell Hiller 45 Degree flybar conversion using CB100 Bell Mixers

Ok first of all, who is the good samaritan ? I just got a package from the mail without the name of the sender. Its a CB100 Bell mixer set;

UPDATE: The links were from Cameron (Ampdraw) - Thanks Amp!!

It contains the two mixers, two brass bushing and two small screws. I decided to use this for a 45 degree flybar conversion on a bell hiller modded Walkera 4#3B head.

The ball links need to be placed on the other side for this mod;

The only issue i have with this setup is the angle of the pitch links coming from the swash it is so slanted that they pop-off on extreme cyclics;

Results:

- Phase is maintained
- I cant see much on stability as they feel the same with the 90 degree version.

i think it would be possible to bend that link so as not to stress the ball-link on the swash side.

Do you prefer the 90* head or the 45? Must get around to locking and shortening the flybar on my b/h 4#3B. The measurement of the flybar you gave in the other thread...https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...4&postcount=23
was that the raw bar length?

Did you lock your flybar at 45*?

How is the stability compared to a standard 4#3?

Actually, after flying it some more, i noticed that i am issuing less cyclic corrections as compared to the 90 degree version. The initial videos was pretty much a quick test. But one thing important is that the blade phasing was not affected (stick to roll,elevator direction not affected) which means i dont have to shift those servos.

Yes, its the raw bar length.

The flybar is as is - and it remained in phase with the phasing fork. The only thing that was shifted was the head ;

The standard 4#3 uses a longer flybar, mine was a short one when i performed the test thus i cannot compare them. However if am to compare it with the 90 degree short flybar version (which is my default config), definitely there is some improvement (but not significant) as there are less cyclic corrections needed to keep it in spot - but not the MSR 45 degree flybar stability i am expecting.
