Kinda, The CC 10 has a 15amp burst, and it can support 4 servos, (i think that the other CC thunderbirds can too)(correct me if I'm wrong), and it's only 6 grams!

Oh, I almost forgot... I'll have the prototype with me at the KIEF indoor event this weekend, so if you're there, feel free to come check it out!
I'm thinking of using the same set-up,planes on it's way.Does the A10-9L have enough power for outdoors?Any idea of what the A10-9L tachs a gws 8 by 4.3 or apc 8 by 3.8 SF prop?

Looks good,

I've never used the X-5, but I would go with a CC 9, or CC 10.

The A10-9L has LOADS of power. I fly all my planes outdoors(sadly) and it works great!

Free

BTW, the X-5 may work great, I just have never used it.

The X7-7 pro comes with combo and can be udated or prgrammed if the ESC needs it,while th 5 doesn't.
Do you have any cogging using the X-7?
thanks Robert

The X-5 does indeed work great with the A10-9L and needs no programming beyond what it's already capable of. I haven't used the X-7 much but I'm sure it would be fine as well. These days I use almost all CC Phoenix 10's and they are a great choice as well, especially if you plan to overload the 9L with battery/prop at all.

RJ, how does the X-5 handle the 9L when it only has a 7 amp burst?

Thanks,

Free

That's just a rating... it handles it! I have never burned an X-5 and have only had one go into thermal shutdown when I tried it on a VPP system.

My printed MX2 came in today.Very nice looking print and the 1.5lb EPP is stiffer.
I got the A10-9L combo for mine.

Great kit.

The airfoiled version is great too.
Either I got an exceptional kit or the 1.9lb cuts better. No trimming on will be needed.

What exactly are spades?I got a landing gear bag but I didn't see any spades in my kit?

Spades are the little sort-of-shovel-shaped things that hang below the ailerons.
Good picture of them here:
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...&postcount=751

The term comes from full scale aerobatic planes where they are used to reduce control loads.
