Nothing wrong with that!! I still like these airplanes best around 5.0 to 5.2 ounces... less than that is still fun, just a different flying style.

The biggest problem I have with the Plush is HK always being out of them. When they get them in I am not ready to order any thing else.

I'm using the ten. For some reason HobbyWing redesigned the 10 and now it's larger/heavier although I haven't seen one yet. The guys building micro quads are not happy campers and have been scrounging around all the relabeled Hobbywing looking for the older versions.

I just backorder them, they eventually show up.

For what it's worth guys... I run the Castle Phoenix 10's and typically have zero issues with motors starting. I don't remember what software version I normally run, but whatever it is works very well. I've never tried the Thunderbirds as I really like to have the programmability of the Phoenixes.

See you all at JR Indoor!

I looked at the Plush 10 but the reviews had some complaints about the BEC. The 12 is a little heavy for its size. The little 12a esc that I have been carying seems to be working well though I have not tried it on a Hacker. It is only 7g. I will report how it works.
I did get a new Phoenix and it does work well which CC says should not be the case as it runs the same firmware as the thunderbird. As far as I can tell the only thunderbird controllers that work are the pre 2.0 with firmware 1.5.
I will be heading out for the JR indoor on Thursday morning.

I missed this post and was surprised and delighted to find Fancy Foam at the JR Indoor Fest. Beautiful planes, including the new EPP printed version of RJ's Decathlon. Will more than likely go home with a couple new FF Kits.

It was nice to finally meet the new FF owners.

Glad you like them!

Mike is now working on an EPP version of the MX2. I put a few flights on it at JR Indoor, and it's a blast!! I've always wanted to do an EPP version but have never had the time. It's amazing how well it flies, especially with very little carbon bracing. I'm not exactly sure when they'll be available, but I can't wait to build one for myself.

Very cool

Will the EPP version have those cool looking spades?

I never quite understood the physics of why they worked, but they sure look great!

VPP setup

Hey RJ,

Great VPP flying :-)

For the VPP Mode, do you have the zero pitch position in the middle position of the throttle stick or is it more backwards?

Thanks,
Matthias
