Hi Seth,

What kind of servo arm do you use on the Futaba S3114 servo on Aileron? Where can I get some?

Hi Don,

I don't run the 3114 on the ailerons, but the arm I use will still work. I get mine from Radical RC HERE, about halfway down the page. "F3P Biased Servo Horn #1"

But I do, and that's the arm I use.

Thanks Seth and RJ....

Which holes (on this aileron servo arm) do you recommend to work best for the aileron linkage?

Also, do you use their pushrod standoffs too?

I believe the second hole from the bottom on the arm gives the most even amount of up/down deflection. I have used the third hole up and that also works well.

The MX2 kit comes with pushrod standoffs for the elevator and rudder pushrods. The aileron pushrods do not need standoffs because they are made with thicker 1.5mm carbon rod to resist flexing.

No problem!

I dont do anything special really. I just use the normal nozzle on the BSI Thin-CA bottles and make sure not to cut a large hole in the top when I cut open the bottle the first time. Then I try to just "tack" everything together... I never run beads down the length of a joint, and I don't pre-glue any parts before I push them together. Just dry-assemble the parts and then put a little glue in the corner of the joint every 2 or 3 inches. Common sense usually tells you where you need some extra. A little too much is better than not enough, but it usually doesn't take much...

To cool....

Great suggestion, I sure would have thought I'd need to run CA the length of each joint.

hey rj in that first flight pass video is the elevader milled on that plane or is that just some weird shadow? and why do they blow the horn half way through the flight, is that a 10 second warning or something?
