The guy that designed the UI is a planker so he designed a UI that's good for planks. Unfortunately this also means that it's terrible for helicopters.

Still haven't been able to balance my 500 #2 belted tail. I just got new Align rotor hub, 4x9x4 bearings, and tail blades. The suggestion at the LHS was to lower the head speed or go to TT if this doesn't work.

Has anyone tried a gimbal swash on their heli? It looks interesting.

Interesting... No nylon cup to wear out. I assume it is ball raced on all pivot points.

In that the tail section will not vibrate violently.

I got to the best dynamic balance I could in a couple hours without main blades, which was not too good. I wondered what it would do with main blades on, and I took it down to the field for a 8 second run up. It howled like when you run a GWS prop over RPM. So I bought $40 more stuff to try out. Will report back later.

Could you expand on that?

I think it is the bearings BTW. And maybe the rotor hub.

Yes my head block was milled really badly. I didn't see it until I had a align in my hand and the HK in my other hand. I would run it up and the tail and all would shake. I ended up replacing everything and I mean everything on it until the last thing was the head and I didn't want to put out $30+ dollars for a new one.

This has the RJX head though, and did work well with the Align plastic tail case. I now am using the Tarot tail case and everything went to $#@!. No crashes in between the two cases. No parts different between the two cases, except for the bearings. I should take a break and try to fix it.

I am so sorry! I blame this on too many hobby forums lol! I would take the align bearings out and put them in the tarot case. That was the first thing I did when I changed them.
