Thats a good idea, but i wanna take it out tomorrow to test it and it would be easier to change blades at the field. Have you ever seen dampers 'go bad'? And would that cause the huge gap?

Not that bad, more like 1". That was after a crash though with new feathering and main shaft. What I would unsafely do if I wanted to go flying tomorrow is replace the blades and test spin up to 30-50% with blades on and look at the tracking. You can then diagnose and repair from there.

if its the stock dampeners or old ones.. replace them first.

Also make sure you have cg'ed and balance the blades. 2" out of wack is bad, but can be fix with dampeners as I have found out in my early days with the HK kits

Wow, I guess I've been lucky with CG.

Should I get the non-pro arm mhills?

I flew my 450Pro once today in the drizzle and then went to the LHS and bought TT gears and spares. I'm such a nerd. New Simpsons tonight!

**Piss poor weather** OK here is a story then . I dont know if i told you all or not. But i crashed my beloved align 500e two weeks ago. I was Playing around with flying inverted thinking i was all bad azz now. lol..Had it in an inverted hover about 20' off the ground. Went to flip my way out of it and went Neg. rather then positive. Smash into the ground she went. ..total cost: Not bad seeing how I had so many replacement parts in stock.
So fix it all up, go out for a test flight and tail goes crazy on me. The plastic tail servo grips lost traction on the tail boom. And yes yet another crash.
This repair cost me an extra $30. Ran out of stock replacement parts. So i now have this on order. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251060090854...84.m1497.l2649

Bought a DX8 radio tonight, So other then x-mas money for the family this month. I'm pretty much tapped till Jan. -Moral of the story- concentrate real hard when you are inverted and dont think your a bad azz heli pilot just yet. Your wallet will prove you wrong. lol

lol. That was funny. Yes the wallet always somehow brings us back to relality... unless your nick name is money bags.

Not sure how good the Align plastic tail servo mounts are, but on the HK gt kit this is a must replace part to the metal (CMT) version

This weekend was a bust for me. My oldest son had a friend spend the night. His father just died two months ago from cancer. So we were all on our tip toes. Things went really well. I let him play with my sim. He got a huge kick out of slamming the helis into the ground.

He is 12 same age as my oldest son. His dad had cancer before and fought it killing it for two years before it came back. This time he chose not to fight it. They wanted to take our son to Florida and Disney world before he died. We had to turn them down. This was my sons first year at Boy Scout camp. He had spent a whole year getting ready for it. I also told my wife if he decided not to fight they didn't have two more years. I was right. Another one in a long list of rights I wish I could be wrong! They never made the trip.
