I'll be trying out this ESC on a 450 this weekend
https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ontroller.html The YEP (aka YGE from info on the internet) goes up in size to 120A. Hoping for the best They do get good reviews, even at HF. |

If anyone using the pro grips could tell me what bearing slider and control arm there using. I'm getting bad binding on the tail. The grips are smooth disconnected so its either the bearing solder or control arm. I tried both the hk plastic control arm and the align pro one and same thing. I'm leaning toward the bearing slider. Yet another hiccup on road to rebuild. I'm gonna have to change everything before it flies. Btw it not something simple like screws too tight or missing washer

+1 on the YEP. I'm using a 80A in my 500ESP and have a 100A as a backup for my Align 70A in the 550E or for the 100A Hobbywing in the X5. The 6A BEC is a bonus also. No logging and the programmer is a must have.

I bought the Himodel version (when HK was out of stock) and it worked fine with the yep. I had to buy two to meet their minimum order value of $10.

Himodel has paypal, but they charged 3% for the privilege.

Well I looked at naryans old 500 and he had the pro control arm and pitch assembly so I guess I need both.

I just ordered a YEP80, too. ALthough I found one bad review on the Hobbyking forums. That this ESC supposedly generates a lot of noise and that an Italian guy lost his helicopter due to this. He also tested this noise elaborately. Even Google Translate could not help me to get a clear picture of what why and how..
We'll see. I'll do some non-scientific ground tests first. Gotta agree, I've seen more positive than negative. Even that the governor seems to be a good one. That it keeps rotor RPM within +/- 50 from what is set on the ground. |
