Well I threw the Turnigy in it today and go figure, no problems with both my 6S 4000 or 6s 2200 "test" Setup. The motor runs well, all the flight controls, retracts, and lights operate and it range checks just fine. I will put a watt meter on it tomorrow and if all checks out good I will balance it and go for broke if the weather plays nice! Thanks for every ones input while I built this thing, as said except for the refueling probe, the nose art, TAC decal on the tail, motor/fan, and the lights, it is all stock.

Anyone want to spare me the thread searching and tell me the perfect balance point? I never trust the manual... Thanks

Mine is working well at 10-1/2" from wing leading edge at the root where it joins the fuselage.
Do yourself a favor. Remove all the wheels and lube them before your 1st flight. CRCJA is not the only one with flat spots on his tires from the hubs locking up.

That is one NICE looking Hun!!!
I wouldn't trust the manual either... but I'd be willing to bet you'd be fine with the CG 1/4" to 1/2" in front of the *recommended mark*

Good luck on the maiden!

Well it decided to rain today so no maiden flight.

I putt a watt meter to it, do you think it will fly? Here are the numbers with the HET fan, HET Typhoon 600-37- 2 motor. 6S 30C 4000 MaH battery, 60A ESC.

Total RTF weight including the drop tanks and bombs is 6.2 lbs

Full power static run:

1200 watts

56.3 Amps

It is balanced at 10.5" from LE where wing meets the fuse

This is my first 90mm jet and it just does not seem to have the "pull" that my 64mm EDF's have. I am praying that it does not fly near a stall the whole time. What you all think? Are the numbers with in reason?

It will probably fly pretty scale like.I flew mine at 1st with power in that same area, and it flew ok,but when you turn it you have to be easy.Do not try and yank n bank it,just let it turn smooth.I now have an ARC 1.5 on 6s and it flies a whole lot better ,I also fly with all the tanks on it as it really looks great in the air! This jet is not a speed demon,no reason to try and make it one either, its a smooth flying predictable jet, enjoy! Thanks! I am looking for scale. If I want to go fast I will pull out my squall of Phase 3 F-16. I just hate having a plane flying on the edge with a .8 AoA wanting ro fall out of the sky. That is one reason I spent the bucks on the good stuff for this one.
