i must say this jetfan 90v2 is freaking sweet looking. shroud is done up in a nice carbon fiber and the rotor hub and blades all look very strong. i cant wait to run it up.
Where do you buy the jetfan from?

It will take the VAT off when you check out. And they will also install and balance the whole set up for a small fee if you buy a motor from them as well.

Well, I was about to maiden mine. Taxied up and down the runway to get it all trimmed and ready to go. In fact , as I was doing a high speed taxi, I had a bit of an "accidental maiden", when the plane went up to the air for a couple of feet. I landed it immediately and taxied out (didn't even had the canopy on so I was not ready for real flight...). However, when I was about to take the real flight, I realized that I don't have enoug power. Checked the CC200 and found that it didn't go past 850W. The ESC probably blew an FET. So, I spent the rest of the day replacing the ESC with a Suppo 200A. It works now. Hope to maiden tomorrow...

The latest ones are still good for 8s 120 amps without the shrink tubing on it...at least the one I got from HK.

Mine runs 6S at 140A. The funny thing is that when it "accidentally" got airborne, it didn't have more than 850W. I have a 3000W power system in it...

Hey Sol..., get some vids of the maiden if you can.

Now that I recall when I put 2800watts through mine it was really fast and sounded REALLY good due to that front cavity giving the white noise-ish whoosh sound a lot of frequency range.

Sounded really nice...

140A! Unless you have some expensive batteries you will not get many cycles from them at 140A.
I think your motor may also succumb to the heat generated.

Maiden done!

This morning, with clear skies and no wind, I finally got the maiden flight out of the way, followed with two additional flights. What a sweetheart in the air! This plane is simply majestic. 3 batteries (Sky Lipo 6S 5000mAh 40-80C). 3:30 minute flights, and down with 14% left in the batteries...

Now it's back on the table to get filled and covered with Styrospray, followed by a camouflage paint scheme.

FlyFly F-100 Maiden flight (and two more) at NDRCC, 9/23/2012 (6 min 9 sec)

Thanks for sharing Yoram!
Congratulations on your successful maiden.
If you are looking for a slightly sharper intake, Parkflyer plastics has one that fits perfectly.
I have used their products on a couple planes and am happy with the results.
Cheers Eric
