I,ve been flying my favourite plane now for nearly ten years ,shes had three new motors four new wings and five fuselages ,but she just keeps on flying !
Just looks to me like you need a new fuselage and a new wing and tailplane and she'll be good as new ,

so you have thrown enough parts at her to build 1.5 planes and 2 gliders with a fuse to spare? no thats devotion!

Did some flying today with the twin and had some fun dropping various bits and pieces.

I know ! she needs some detail, I'll get around to that next. Thanks to Aus for the great shots.

Nice photos!

What type of foam did you use for your build, it looks different?

It's all depron, the fuselage depron was a bad batch that was softer and lighter. The wing and tail are made from normal depron with 50K CF tow top and bottom as a spar.

Hi Guys,

I believe that I have my CNC machine back together enough
to start making kits again.
I have some foam stocks and a have another 2 cases
of depron arriving on Wednesday.

I've made web page changes, so if you discover
something amiss please let me know right away.
Also NO MORE Black depron offerings.

I still have to get shipping boxes locally.
A trip to deepest darkest downtown Indianapolis is my
next step on Monday, then I'll be ready to go.

Thanks for your patience while I moved 2400 miles,
bought a new house and moved back in. Wheew !

As always I'm here to serve.

Not sure what I did wrong here, I was trying to bench test 2 new ESCs

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=21247

and two new motors

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=2069

I had removed the red wire from one of the ESC to Receiver connections. When I powered them up one of the motors refused to power up, and then the ESC let out the magic smoke.

I'd previously tested both ESC/Motor combos separately so I know the ESCs and motors were working fine. Are there certain types of ESCs you can't wire together as shown in this thread?

thanks

Phil

IF you have pulled the red wire ( middle/center ) on one of them then there should NOT be any problems.

Check for motor side shorts.

If the question is directed at me I answered in post 4595, otherwise you need to quote something so someone will answer.

Medieval torture

I know it adds nothing of value to the conversation but...

Isn't "constracting" some sort of medieval torture?

Pardon the cryptic question, but how feasible would it be to build this plane and move the wings back on the fuselage and then reverse the motors to make it a nearly rear wing twin pusher? Would probably require large nose weight, so would have to use the heaviest battery possible pushed as far forward as possible, but is it even a practical idea?
